Hawaii Artist Anne Palmer Schneider has been painting scenes of the Hawaiian landscape for over 15 years and has shown in museums, galleries and numerous juried shows and has won numerous awards. In the 1960's, painting under the name Ayne Palmer, her work was shown in the East Hampton Gallery on 57th Street in NYC, and she was published in the Grove Press book on Psychedelic Art by Masters and Houston. Ms. Schneider studied fine arts at CW Post and later at the New York Institute of Technology from which she graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Architecture. Ms. Schneider has been painting full time since 1995 and has won several awards and is achieving National Recognition for her artwork. Her work is in collections around the world. Recent shows, among others, include Art Kauai 2000, 2001, and Artists of Hawaii 2000 at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, there was a show of her work at Kauai Museum in 2005. Her work can be seen on Kauai in Hanalei at Hot Rocket in the Ching Young Village and at the Bone and Joint clinic at Wilcox Hospital.
