Martha Weaver

Who is Martha Weaver? I was born in Central Texas, USA on a small farm in the caliche hills. My mother was an art teacher and began teaching us art from infancy. I can remember sitting in my high chair with paper and watercolors.

As my brother and I grew up our mother would teach us to see the nature around us, watching the colors and light and shadow.

I began photography as an art medium when my children were teenagers, and have found it to be my niche. By applying the lessons of childhood with the artistic instincts I inherited, I have developed my style.

As a member of the Professional Photographers of America for over 25 years, I have kept abreast of the latest trends and developments by attending workshops and classes sponsored by the photographers associations.

I have won awards in exhibits judged by my peers in art guilds. On three occasions my photographs were chosen to be included in exhibits in the International Professional Photographers Hall of Fame in Oklahoma.

I have developed a large variety of photographic art files provide abundant choices. As the digital age has developed I have studied various techniques to create a variety of finishes and styles to my photographs, including looks of oil paintings, water colors, sepia and black and white.

I incorporate nature, landscape, and still life work in my art, so there should be something for just about every taste!
