Figurative Fine Art It will be one half century that I have been an artist. As I reach this milestone, I look back on what I have done...what I have "discussed" in my paintings and explored in my drawings. With much excitement, I realize that I have matured as both an artist and a woman, and this will directly affect the look and attitude of my future paintings. My work is almost exclusively figurative and speaks to the vast range of human experience. For most of my life my paintings have been done in series and have been inspired by complex issues. Now, my "first voice", my simple delight seeing the body in my own special way is creating a new aesthetic or "look". It is bold, unbridled and uniquely mine. My goal is to capture this brazen depiction of the body in a series of large paintings. The drawings I have been doing the past two years portent the paintings that are to come. In this way, I am happy to say old age id quite exciting.
