About This Artwork
Crescents, convex and concave,
Group in circling conclave.
I named this Mobile "Red East" because I thought the crescents and the other shapes gave it an Islamic flavor.
This Mobile was part of my Monmouth Museum show in 2008. It is made of hand cut PVC shapes suspended with monofiliment line.
The primary material, foam PVC, is often used in exterior signage. It is colorfast and light so the Mobile dances on the slightest breeze.
