About This Artwork
Hand Printed black and white photograph. All my black and white photographs are hand printed using the very finest black and white materials available.
When I left trailhead, to get to this spot, it was still dark. As it began to get light there were many low hanging clouds from the night time snow that had blanketed the area. I was very excited and anxious to get to a spot that I knew would provide a clear shot of the snow covered forest, Long's Peak, and the breaking up storm. As often happens, by the time I got to the spot I knew I needed to be (just below Dream Lake) the mists were gone and I had only direct sunlight. Not what I had envisioned. Still, it worked. Made as a part of the Artist in Residence Program at RMNP
