About This Artwork
The spring of 2008 I spent several days at Millstream Gardens on the St. Francis River. I was totally captivated watching the kayakers in their small “playboats” running the rapids. From this experience I created River Runner III, a pastel, to depict my impressions from this outing. I was especially attracted to water spray and how it sparkled in the sun. I used my special"dusting" technique to capture the feeling af whitewater.
Because pastels are fragile materials all my painting are placed behind glass in quality frames. The cost of the framing is already included in the painting price. If you prefer, I will sell the pastel unframed. For unframed paintings deduct 10% from the painting cost.
