About This Artwork
Iowa Country Road, is inspired by a photo trip I made in the early 1980’s. It had been threatening thunderstorms all afternoon as I drove along the country roads east of Des Moines. ?As evening approached the sun finally broke through lighting up this red barn and landscape and the storm clouds in the background. Iowa is beautiful farm country but the old rustic barns are quickly disappearing, being replaced with modern metal buildings.
Because pastels are fragile materials all my painting are placed behind glass in quality frames. The cost of the framing is already included in the painting price. If you prefer, I will sell the pastel unframed. For unframed paintings deduct 10% from the painting cost.
