About This Artwork
I did have some fun with this painting. It is based on a photo and memories of a day spent in Red Rocks Canyon (or Park or something) a short distance from Los Vegas.
These are not the Red Rocks they are talking about. There are some lovely rust and orange rocks there, but this was from down in the canyon, where there was not much red, but a lot of light and shadow, with the low mountains in the back ground
I think I caught the feel of the place, and I have loved having this hanging in my house off and on
