About This Artwork
The shape in this series started as a photograph of a cast silver earring. The photograph then lead to a fascination with the curves and the way light reflected off the silver. The tearing and reassembling of disparate papers is about experimenting with the texture and color of existing materials, creating the suggestion of a third dimension in a two dimensional piece.
