About This Artwork
High up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado there are many, many "magical places".
Places that allow you to drift away from your reality and dream happily and wonder about all the different colors, values and variety of…everything. This is such a place. As I painted, I was intermittently carried down the paths of sunlight and shadows. Always wondering what went before me in these wonderfully natural streets of the forest. Pardon me if I seem overly dramatic, but I'm sure you have experienced the magic and beauty of some hidden, newly discovered place too. I doubt I will ever find this spot again, but there are so many other "magic places" out there just waiting to be discovered that I am not concerned. It is always in my memory.
