About This Artwork
"Poppies, Poppies, Poppies" is an original composition, an edition of one, consisting of 5 canvas panels making up the finished piece. The overall dimension of the 5 panels: 60" x 45" (5' x 3' 9"). The depth of the piece is approx 2". "Poppies, Poppies, Poppies" is designed to hang flush against the wall for maximum aesthetics.
"Poppies, Poppies, Poppies" was inspired by poppies. One particular image inspired the 5-foot wide composition you see here.
This piece is a combination of digital images and manipulations of those images. Each panel is printed to canvas using archival materials and processes and is then stretched conventionally incorporating a gallery wrap format (stretching the canvas around the edges of the stretcher frame, requiring no additional framing). I then use a variety of acrylic coatings and textures to give the piece a unique finish to compliment the final work. It is now ready to hang.
