About This Artwork
"Rounder" is an original composition, an edition of one, consisting of 7 canvas panels making up the finished piece. The overall dimension of the 7 panels: 128" x 72" (10' 8" x 6'). The depth of the piece is approx 2". "Rounder" is designed to hang flush against the wall for maximum aesthetics.
"Rounder" is a study in roundness. I combined the many shapes and images inspired from those visuals into the just over 10-foot wide abstract, photo montage you see here.
This piece is a combination of digital images and manipulations of those images. Each panel is printed to canvas using archival materials and processes and is then stretched conventionally incorporating a gallery wrap format (stretching the canvas around the edges of the stretcher frame, requiring no additional framing). I then use a variety of acrylic coatings and textures to give the piece a unique finish to compliment the final work. It is now ready to hang.
