The pain of loss, a trust misplaced a fear that never dies.
This is an unusual and striking painting, with a strong sense of movement. This painting is very personal to me and very emotional in content. It ha classical elements as well a bold, contemporary and emotive aspects. the subject is raw and unfettered with beautiful connective lines and strength. The very act of painting this caused a chapter in my life and put to rest some emotional demons that have been plaguing me for years.=.
This piece is Oils on Canvas painted in my signature ochre technique using layered washes and strategic removal of paint to create a wonderful three dimensional look and a strong emotional feel. Skin tones are produced using this technique with colors and glazes to enhance the emotive qualities and sketcherly aspect of the figures.
The canvas is used as an element in this painting lending it's texture to the overall work. The colors are warm, sensual with a wonderful tonal quality. It is signed Jennie on the front.
