About This Artwork
In June of 2008 my parents, my brother, I, and our families spent two weeks in Tuscany. The history of the Renaissance, the sheer volume of artwork, and the thousands of churches and cathedrals (duomos) were overwhelming. Yet, no matter where I am, people’s faces still present an endless source of fascination. If I can catch just one person in an honest unselfconscious moment, then I feel successful in that day of shooting.
I love the way three people intersect in this shot yet they are all facing different directions and away from each other. Each person glows with an aura and yet they seem unaware of each other.
