About This Artwork
This pinhole image was made with a camera obscura, and the exposures were anywhere between 5-10 minutes long. They were shot on medium format fujicolor film, and printed as C-Prints in a color darkroom. The texture was produced by printing through an acetate base covered with salt. This effect can no longer be done, as these are now produced as color giclee from the original negatives. However, they are beautiful and unusual perspectives of flowers. The vintage prints are available, but only through my website, and are very costly. I produce these giclees for the public, and they are available in alternate sizes and price points. I have always been intrigued with the process of the camera obscura, the entire principle of picture making, and still work with camera obscuras today.
