About This Artwork
On a dark rainy day while visiting the mysterious world of Transylvania to see Dracula's Castle and tour the moors where Count Dracula was born in 1431, I witness something much more interesting. Coming up the road of this small town, was a young shepherd. The mules were carrying his supplies. Following him were about one hundred plus long horn sheep. They stayed all together, very organized. He walk at a brisk pace. His hat intrigued me and I later found out that they wore those pointed hats because the sheep are trained to follow the pointed hat, just like they use to follow their mothers. The shepherd carries a staff to bring any wayward sheep back into line. He also had his shepherd dogs and way back at the end of the line was an old man following. I assumed the old man was the young shepherds father.
