About This Artwork
In June of 2008 my parents, my brother, I, and our families spent two weeks in Tuscany. The history of the Renaissance, the sheer volume of artwork, and the thousands of churches and cathedrals (duomos) were overwhelming.
Our Lucca guide spent one day showing us the historical places of note in Lucca and another day showing us five grand villas outside of Lucca. This is a shot of Villa Reale from the back. Once again I'm able to find repeating patterns in the furrowed field in the foreground. The forested hills in the background give the picture additional dimension.
