About This Artwork
Abstract art — an art form described in some circles as my-four-year-old-could-do-that or I-don’t-get-it — is certainly evocative with strong opinions about its aesthetic.
Yet, I would like to resist the temptation to interpret the abstract photographs that I have created (though admittedly this one feels to me like a shaft of sunlight is slicing through the image) and instead just ask the viewer to experience it without the need for words.
Responding or not responding to abstraction is a personal preference.
