About This Artwork
This is a progression on the movement I am trying to create in my paintings. I am not quite there yet but I will tell you when I think I am close. The painting has the wobble I was looking for with the people and bike going in and out of focus. I find myself using more blue in this painting, possibly a consequence of the 2nd Liverpool St Station painting, which I did last. The photo does not do the painting justice because the size has an impact of its own, still enjoy.
I sketched the idea for this painting while having a coffee on a visit to Budapest in early Autumn. I was on Andrassy Utca which runs West to East, which meant the sun set right down the street resulting in a brilliant wobble in the light as it passed through the moving trees.
