About This Artwork
The concept in this 11x14 image is to show the human need to stay in touch with nature.
To depict this concept I use a cityscape of San Francisco as a background. Among the mass of buildings there is an emerging human hand reaching out to touch a butterfly. The butterfly, representing nature, is the focal point of the image. This is indicated by its position and magnitude of size.
