About This Artwork
While capturing some late afternoon shots of boats in Northeast Harbor, Mount Desert Island, Maine, I spotted a couple of Loons fishing along the shoreline. They still have much of their gray winter plumage. I kept trying to snag a photo of the two together but my closest vantage point was on a swaying dock (resulting in only blurry images). Seems they are making their way back to the local lakes for warmer weather and reproduction. Yes, Mainers hold a special place in their hearts for Loons.
