About This Artwork
Part of my "Issues of Our Time" series is the "In The World" subset. These images contrast scenes of beauty and serenity in America with the terror of events in Iraq and Afghanistan. I hope the viewer will be able to connect with what is going on "In The World."
In The World 3, Sadr City and East Hampton, contrasts a woman leading her son past a tent destroyed by a military raid in Sadr City (Baghdad) Iraq with women on the beach in East Hampton, NY. The Iraqi figures are based on a photo by Karim Kadim.
This is acrylic on stretched canvas on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides. A frame is not necessary. Free shipping in the United States.
