About This Artwork
I was shooting the sunset on the California coast when I saw this Pelican approaching, and quickly shifted my priorities.
I've always been drawn to Pelicans. They are so graceful in flight, the epitome of grace and freedom. Yet so clumsy and prehistoric-looking the rest of the time.
I shot this one as a silhouette, against the sunset-tinged clouds.
The image is printed 12" x 18", on 13" x 19" Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta paper, signed by the artist.
