About This Artwork
I found this oak leaf in 1975 on a cool fall evening. It had fallen from a tree and was caught in dry grasses. The light was quickly fading near sunset, so I needed to work quickly. Fortunately, I was rewarded with this image. Photographed in the mountains near Mt. Pinos, California.
