About This Artwork
The She series began with a sketch I did in high school of a classmate. The simplicity and archetypal nature of the image compelled me to save it for decades, subconsciously waiting for its proper debut.
I seemed to be fascinated with transformation from one version to another. This is reflected in the works I label Progression and in many of my geometric designs. The change is very Escher like, yet I can’t quite pull myself into the transformation from geometric abstraction to lifelike representation. My progressions are the growth or definition of a final image. My geometric designs are a flow of one abstraction into another.
