About This Artwork
This A3 limited edition (100) giclee fine art print, from an original oil painting by Jim Tait, depicts part of the fishing fleet which congregated at Lerwick during the summer months to engage in the herring fishery. The greatest part of thsi fleet comprised of steam drifters and sail vessels which had been converted to diesel power.
