About This Artwork
My mother is an accomplished amateur horticulturist that would put many professionals to shame, her gardens spanning over eight acres of open areas, ponds, woods and marshlands. I visit my parents in Bedford, New York at least every other summer and I never tire of photographing my mother’s flowers, outdoor vignettes, and crafted environments. Astilby has a light ethereal look to it much like ostrich feathers or the plume of pampas grass.
