About This Artwork
In June of 2008 my parents, my brother, I, and our families spent two weeks in Tuscany. The history of the Renaissance, the sheer volume of artwork, and the thousands of churches and cathedrals (duomos) were overwhelming. Yet, the no matter where I am, people’s faces still present an endless source of fascination. If I can catch just one person in an honest unselfconscious moment, then I feel successful in that day of shooting.
In this shot, I like the juxtaposition of the older man behind the left shoulder of the younger man in the fore. Both men are eating while engrossed by good conversation.
