About This Artwork
In June of 2008 my parents, my brother, I, and our families spent two weeks in Tuscany. The history of the Renaissance, the sheer volume of artwork, and the thousands of churches and cathedrals (duomos) were overwhelming. Our Lucca guide spent one day showing us the historical places of note in Lucca and another day showing us five grand villas outside of Lucca. This is a shot of the exterior of the pool house at the Villa Reale estate with a woman walking by. I like the contrast of the red and yellow panels, the green of the garden at the end of the walkway the woman in earth tones on the left.
