About This Artwork
At seventeen, I took a series of self portraits in black and white film. Then a few years ago I rediscovered these images in my art supply closet. I liked the tilt of my head and the flow of hair covering my shoulder, so I scanned the image and manipulated it in Photoshop to make it less about me and more universal. From that, I created a series of experimental prints with different types of paper. Some were on the back of the paper, others printed through one paper onto another.
