About This Artwork
This is simply a watercolor of an American indian in the first snowfall of the season. I imagined what my thoughts would be if he were me miles from his mountain home and not really prepared to travel over the snowy terrain. I know he would be used to living with nature and familiar with finding food, making shelter and snowshoes, and so on. My imagination soars and I wonder what reason brought him miles from home… was he hunting, foraging, scouting… on a menial mission or an important one.
Perhaps this is a simple painting, but much thought precedes the actual touching of pencil and brush to paper. I'm not complaining, I'm trying to stimulate a viewer's thoughts.
