Languid is part of my Purity series using my signature impasto technique. it is highly textural with bold flowing lines and a wonderful sense of minimalism.
This technique is heavily influenced by asian calligraphy techniques. Each line is repeated over and over, carved into the surface, until it's just right, a perfect blend of motion, line, form and color. the colors in the under-painting are carefully blended to glow as they emerge from the sculpted lines.
This piece will be carefully shipped fully stretched on extra wide stretchers with professional hanging hardware attached- ready to hang.
