About This Artwork
"Spring" is an original composition, an edition of one, consisting of 10 canvas panels making up the finished piece. The overall dimension of the 10 panels: 282" x 88" (23' 6" x 7' 4"). The depth of the piece is approx 2". "Spring" is designed to hang flush against the wall for maximum aesthetics.
"Spring" was inspired by all things spring; the weather, the flowers, the colors, the smells, spring. I combined the many images inspired from those visuals into the just over 23-foot wide abstract, photo montage you see here.
This piece is a combination of digital images and manipulations of those images. Each panel is printed to canvas using archival materials and processes and is then stretched conventionally incorporating a gallery wrap format (stretching the canvas around the edges of the stretcher frame, requiring no additional framing). I then use a variety of acrylic coatings and textures to give the piece a unique finish to compliment the final work. It is now ready to hang.
