About This Artwork
The title suggests tight synchronicity between musicians. In addition to being an artist, I am also a musician. Music factors into my work two ways: listening and playing as I paint. Often, I will listen to a local jazz station as I paint. For this work, jazz listening influenced not only the content of the work, but the rhythm of the brushstrokes. The energy from the paint translates into a feeling of music.
