Photographer Elena Ehrenwald was born in Mexico City in 1959. She grew up as a child who spent hours looking at the world around her, wishing to retain everything she was seeing and imagining. So, she began to paint in an effort to create imaginary landscapes. It wasn’t until many years later during college that she discovered photography while earning her degree in Graphic Design. Elena fell in love with photography, and thanks to extraordinary teachers such as Saul Serrano and Laura Cohen, Ehrenwald embraced photography as an art form. “The rules and limits were as many or as few as I imposed on myself.”
