Sculptor Romolo Del Deo comes from a family tradition of artists and artisans in metal. He lives and works in New York City and Provincetown, Massachusetts, the artist colony where he was also raised. At an early age, he apprenticed as a sculptor in Pietrasanta, Italy with Giannino Giannini of the Academia di Belli Art di Carrara. He also attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy. Romolo took his degree at Harvard University, where he also studied with the bronze sculptor Dimitri Hadzi. He subsequently taught and was an artist in residence at Harvard.
