Brian Walker and Renee Castelluzzo love their Chicago apartment. The city views and location in the heart of the loop make it really special. So, when it came time to decorate, they definitely didn't want manufactured, cookie cutter wall art and silly, manufactured accessories. They wanted to create a unique space filled with original pieces that they wouldn’t see anywhere else.
But, they quickly learned that the selection at galleries was limited, and sometimes was way beyond their budget. So, they started spending weekends searching for art at local art fairs and exhibitions where they could buy orignal art directly from independent artists.
Many weekends later, after walking past many miles of art show booths, Renee and Brian discovered great, affordable art that was perfect for their apartment. They found amazing, original oil and mixed media paintings, art glass, pottery, sculpture, and incredible photographs that were not only perfect, but unique and affordable.
Their discovery of great artwork by relatively, unknown emerging artists lead to their mission: Original art for Everyman. Now, through the amazing reach of the internet and efficiency of search, original art has never been more accessible and more affordable.
