DiscoveredArtists.com is a marketplace for buying and selling original artworks. The purpose of this website is to bring Artists and Art Buyers together. This website is a place where Artists can offer artworks for sale and Art Buyers can agree to purchase artworks. Art buyers purchase artwork directly from Artists. The artwork is shipped directly from Artists to Art Buyers. This website provides a place to shop for artwork and a method for purchasing artwork. It is important to note that DiscoveredArtists.com is not a retailer or seller of artwork, but a venue that provides a marketplace for buying and selling artwork.

These policies address issues that we think might occur when people come together to transact business. We expect to discover more issues as time goes on, so please come back to this page to read updates. Most of these policies are really about good behavior and using common sense. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how to use a website or how to be good people. We look forward to keeping our Policies to a very short list.

We expect all Users of DiscoveredArtists.com to conduct themselves in a respectful manner no matter what the situation. We are all here for the good purpose of bringing Artwork to Art Buyers. There is no need for vulgarity, mean words or any form of nastiness.
We expect all Users and Visitors to DiscoveredArtists.com to come to the site with good intentions and not attempt to disrupt operation of the website or interfere in any way with the purpose of the website which is to bring Artists and Art Buyers together.
We expect all Users and Visitors to DiscoveredArtists.com to never copy anyone’s artwork, or descriptions of their artwork or copy our logo, photos, graphics or slogans or steal anything from the site that is not rightfully yours. We respect your property, so please respect ours.
Art Sellers
We trust that you are posting artwork for sale in good faith and with careful attention to accuracy in statements you make about your artwork. We believe that you are doing your best to provide value to Art Buyers so that they will be pleased-as-punch with their purchase and will come back, over and over again, to purchase Artwork on DiscoveredArtists.com.
We expect Artists to keep their Galleries current and well stocked with incredible artwork for sale. And we expect Artists to keep their private and public profiles updated and accurate so that information on the website can be trusted by Users.
We expect Artists to honor our no-worry guarantee. If an Art Buyer is disappointed with his or her purchase, we are relying on the Artist to do the right thing: To comply with our 7-day no-worry guarantee and happily accept the returned art, and willingly refund the purchase amount.
We also are relying on our Artists to ship sold artwork promptly and to make certain that it arrives safe and sound to its new home. And we expect all Artists to follow the special shipping instructions of Art Buyers (after all, they are the Customers).
Art Buyers
We are relying on Art Buyers to be honest with us and with the Artists by purchasing artwork with every intention of keeping it forever. And, we also are relying on Art Buyers who are honestly disappointed with a purchase to carefully re-package the artwork and promptly ship it back to the Artist (after all, it is his property and very important to him).
We expect Art Buyers to offer feedback to Artists and to DiscoveredArtists.com that is helpful and constructive. Hurtful, negative comments will be totally ignored.
We expect Art Buyers who are happy with us to spread the word!

We rely on partner firms and firms that we hire to work with us in good faith to provide reliable service to Artists and Art Buyers. We expect our service providers to be pro-active in helping us stay ahead of the curve as DiscoveredArtists.com grows so that the User experience is consistently excellent.

To do this we reserve the right to control content, and will from time to time reject artwork that is not of the quality or type that Art Buyers expect to find on DiscoveredArtists.com.

Discovered Talent Companies, LLC (“we” “us” “our”) owners and operators of Discovered Artists.com (“website”) respects your privacy.
The purpose of this policy statement is to communicate the measures we take to protect the privacy of persons who register on the website (“you” or “user” or “registered user”) and who display or purchase original and limited edition works of art (“art”) at DiscoveredArtists.com.
Discovered Talent Companies uses state-of-the art technologies and best practices in protecting your personal information. Your personal information will not be sold or shared with entities other than Discovered Talent Companies’ Vendors, Suppliers, Sub-contractors and Business Associates who perform services for us, and whose services are necessary for providing services to you. Unless you “opt in” to sharing your information, or request that we share your information, your information will not be shared, sold or disseminated to “third parties” other than those mentioned above.

Personal Information and Preferences.
Registered Users provide their current e-mail address, user name and other information. Registered Users can update their personal profile and provide additional information. As a website User of the Services, you may upload your artwork and related content, set up your personal profile, form relationships, send messages, perform searches, connect with other registered Users, learn about and attend events, and transmit information through various channels. We monitor activity on the website and we use this information to provide Services and offer personalized features.
Forms and Purchases.
Various forms are used for listing, selling, purchasing and returning Art. We may collect your contact information (e.g., your e-mail address, mailing address and/or telephone number) and necessary financial information (i.e., your credit card number, bank account number. Contact information is used to process a sale and to provide our registered users with a means to get in touch with one another when necessary to transact a sale. We use third parties to accept and process credit card payments and EFT’s (Electronic Fund Transfers) for collecting membership fees and for purchasing Art. Security features are industry standard, state-of-the art technology.
IP Address.
Internet Protocol, also known commonly as an "IP address” is a unique string of numbers assigned to a computer by an Internet Service Provider. Web servers automatically identify your computer by the IP address. We will use your IP address to help diagnose technical problems (related to our server) and to operationally maintain the website.
Demographic Information.
Your IP address may be used to gather and create demographic segments for the purpose of better serving Users. We may also gather demographic information from you (for example, your age, education level or household income) from time to time. We will not share such information with any other person or entity in a manner that identifies you as an individual without your permission. Third parties would receive information in aggregate (ie. not personally identifiable).
Computer Cookies.
A "cookie" is a small data file that can be placed on your hard drive when you visit certain websites. Cookies collect, store and sometimes track information for statistical purposes to improve services. We collect your e-mail address for the purpose of sending automated or administrative messages relating to your account, and related to use of your account and activities related to the website. Automated e-mails are not optional.
Protection of Children.
Discovered Talent Companies, LLC does not accept information from persons under the age of 18 years. Persons under the age of 18 years and over the age of 13 years may only participate in website Services when under the supervision of and with consent of a parent or guardian. Further, DiscoveredArtists.com is not directed to children under the age of 13 (thirteen years old). We expect that Art purchased through credit cards and bank checks are purchased by adults or by minors supervised by a parent or guardian. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). When we ask for age, we do not collect personal information from individuals who identify themselves as under the age of 13 except in those limited circumstances where we believe that such collection is permitted under COPPA. If a user indicates that he or she is under the age of 13 all personal data collected (ie. during the registration process) is automatically deleted. We may retain and use limited information, such as the e-mail address, for a limited period of time, in those cases where we believe that the collection and use of such information is permitted under COPPA. We encourage parents to supervise their children's online activities and use tools available from online services and software manufacturers that help provide a child-friendly online environment. Specifically we encourage parents to use tools that prevent children from disclosing their name, address and other personal information without parental permission.
If a parent believes that his or her child has provided us with personal information, we encourage that they contact us immediately via e-mail or postal mail as listed below. We will promptly delete the information upon learning that it relates to a child under the age of 13.

Our Security.
Discovered Talent Companies, LLC makes every effort to secure your information. We have security systems and procedures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration information under our control: a firewall prevents unauthorized access to our systems and we warehouse registration information in a separate, table driven database. We exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your computer and our servers, however, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet. We accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure. We protect the transmission of credit card information through industry standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.
