Ann Bridges Artist / Printmaker
Depth & Movement Working from sketch book studies Ann uses a printmaking technique to create an illusion of depth and movement to her subject matter. Layers of translucent inks are applied to the picture surface, leaving each layer to dry before adding the next.
Hidden Colours Hidden colours are revealed by drawing into the ink and wiping off areas that are not quite dry. In this way the richness of the image is gradually built up.
Passion Studio based in Ruthin, Ann creates images from real life sources including insects, butterflies, plants, fish, flowers, shells, rock pools etc. Drawing is Ann’s passion, filling sketch books and drawing on a daily basis.
