Me working
I work in a studio at home on my fine art and portrait commissions and also at a commercial art studio in Henfield where I do my commercial art. This pays the bills which enables me to spend a few days each week painting and promoting my paintings. I have several local galleries who have my pieces in the them but am really looking for a gallery or agent that can represent me more personally - let me know if you know anyone suitable!
Most of my art is on large canvases (except the portraits which are made to order) and are drawn up with the central characters well composed from preliminary drawings. Once these are in, I start painting from the top down and the backgrounds usually develop nicely from imagination in order to fully comliment my central characters. I usually have plenty of googled pictures for reference but the end result usually ,nevertheless, relies on my memory as this tend to pick out the most beautiful things from a landscape and edits the less interesting bits.
