Process
Although I work in other mediums I've found that acrylics fit my style of painting the best. They dry fast and once dry they are very permanent. I like to work on a lot of paintings at the same time, adding many layers that accumulate without totally concealing the previous images. I paint standing up, listening to music. Depending on size, I paint on a table or the floor.The process of painting in broad gestures with a brush or other tool, gives my work its sense of intense energy. It's the surface of the painting that I love the most. Gorgeous color in its thick and thin varieties, flat and opaque to keep the eye on the surface, or transparent and atmospheric to suggest deep space.
