Creating a mold of an over-lifesize head My mold-maker is pictured here as we create a press-mold of an oversize head from which the various Alex fragments have been made.

Bob Sculpting Here I am working on the original clay for Leap, which was then cast into resin and is now available also in bronze.

Bob doing a raku firing Many of my pieces are fired using the raku process, which involves taking the pieces red-hot from the kiln with tongs and placing them in sealed canisters with combustible material where they smoke reduction can infuse the clay and glaze with dark undertones.
