The digital process has revolutionized the art of photography. There has been a blurring of lines between traditional photography and the painterly arts, often making it difficult to differentiate a photo-based and a paint-based giclee print.
My intention here is to use digital tools and techniques to accentuate and enhance the aesthetic features that caught my attention. Images are printed on canvas and then embellished with a protective coating of brush strokes, thus emulating a very painterly look. Here are three works in progress.
To bring out the ruggedness of this terrain, a very rough, grainy look is being attempted.
